Patricia Harbison is the co-founder of Harbison Estate Wines. She guides the creation of the vineyard’s many varietals, oversees wine club memberships, and manages philanthropic outreach. In this capacity, Patricia heads the Harbison Family Foundation to benefit children throughout the United States with life threatening illnesses. To date, the Foundation has helped to raise over $50 million dollars for selected non-profits. The Harbison Family Foundation ran Winter Wine and Food Fest for the Make-A-Wish of Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada for 20 years; and following that chaired, with her husband, over 75 events throughout the Unites States that benefited children. They made wine from 1998 through 2007 with purchased fruit to be used as donations in large format to support those charities. Prior to helping start the vineyard, Patricia was a public educator for over two decades – teaching elementary school in Northern California. Patricia is passionate about the culinary arts and has trained under multiple famed chefs including Thomas Keller, Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali, Cat Cora, and Wolfgang Puck. She worked alongside Lorenza de Medici during a week-long training in Tuscany, Italy. A Pennsylvania transplant and trained ballerina, Patricia moved to California in her early twenties, where she and her husband raised their two children: Kimberly and Patrick. The couple purchased Harbison Estates in 2005 and had their first estate harvest in 2008.
